Born in a small mining community I have always drawn and painted from a young age. It wasn't until my ceramics teacher at school told me I should go to art college that I considered as a future profession, it opened the door and paved the way for a 45 year career in art.

I now paint purely for pleasure, I love looking for the light and putting myself in the painting, seeing the flow of brush strokes and mixing of colours to produce a painting with feeling. I am always looking for the next step to expand my thoughts and push my creative ideas, I never stop learning.
